SMTD was launched on February 4, 2008, and was born of the need for increased transportation services in the rapidly expanding Northern Illinois area of South Beloit, Rockton, Roscoe, Roscoe Township and Rockton Township. Stateline Mass Transit District strives to bring alternative transportation options to anyone and everyone.
Whether you choose not to drive in an effort to save money or whether you have no other means of transportation available to you, Stateline Mass Transit is here for you. A completed and filed application will guarantee you a ride any time you need during our service hours.
Here are important links to our transit partners in the Stateline area: Rockford Mass Transit District and Beloit Transit System. SMTD provides a vital link to RMTD to the south and BTS to the north.
